Program Notes: This work is comprised of 3 movements, each exploring a different aspects of minimalism. I: Groove explores the variation of rhythmic patterns often associated with Steve Reich. II: Static explores harmonic minimalism often associated with Morton Feldman. III: Guisto explores various post-minimal techniques often associated with John Adams. This work was inspired by Georgia’s State Flower, the Cherokee Rose.
