Program Notes: Much of the musical material was derived from a 026 set first presented in the trumpets at the beginning of the piece. As the work progresses, this motivic idea develops as both a melodic and harmonic idea. The goal of this piece was to combine musical elements commonly found in fanfares with chromatic harmonies.
Fanfare for Brass Ensemble was premiered on the 2021 PRISM concerts at Florida State University.
