Program Notes:

Fleeting... is a 3-movement work for flute duo and percussion. The title of the work is combined with the title of each movement to create different phrases, with each in a contrasting style to take the listener on a journey through the piece. The first movement, Fleeting ... Glimpse, depicts the feeling of seeing something out of the corner of your eye, but never being able to see it head on. The second movement, Fleeting ... Moment, depicts the feeling of being forced to wait while you’re headed on your way elsewhere, say at a bus stop or stuck in traffic. The third movement, Fleeting ... Feeling, depicts the feeling of brief excitement, like butterflies in your stomach.
